Comments about Plymouth Yarn Grande 100% Baby Alpaca Yarn - Cappuccino #208:
I'm normally not inclined to paying so much for a single skein of yarn, but the cowl I was making was for a friend. I tried to make the same cowl in a 50/50 alpaca/acrylic blend just to see if it was worth paying for the two skeins of alpaca needed and it came out terribly!!
This yarn has a beautiful weight without being too bulky and drapes very well (at least as a cowl.. I would imagine the same for some other garment that needed drape too). It is wonderfully soft and luxurious. A great product I'll be using again in the future, I'm sure!
I was pleasantly surprised at the promptness of delivery (in just a few days) and the yarn was packaged very well. I really appreciate the fact that the packaging was very minimal in terms of waste but still kept the yarn protected in the shipping process (and I bought six skeins!). I did not call customer service - well, there was no need to!

I made a beautiful scarf and hat for my husband. He loves them! [...] it was exactly what I hoped it would be. My friends were right "always go to Alpaca Direct for the right yarn!"
