Terrific fiber, soft and perfect weight for baby caps and sweaters. For Moms, the down side it that it's hand washable, not machine washable, but it's so yummy and knits up so beautifully, it's the perfect garment to take baby out to visit friends and relatives, and worth the hand washing requirement. Of course hats don't get as dirty, so it's perfect for downy baby heads.

The yarn has slight variations in thickness which I find attractive because it gives the finished product an organic look. It is not only forgiving of mistakes or uneven stitches or tension but reminds me that it came from a Baby Alpaca!
