Comments about Cascade Yarn Cascade Heritage Sock Yarn - Snow #5618:

all the colors being available here is a great service. surprisingly this yarn is harder to find. and when you do find it they don't have all the colors. I have purchased from Alpaca direct before and their service is great. I suggest looking here first for yarn you want.. it saves times and shipping to get all the colors and quantities for a project at one place in one shipment.

Service & Delivery comments:

great service, quick shipping, affordable shipping rates, prompt, good packaging. Didn't need customer service ... that in itself tells you that you are shopping in the right place.

Comments about Cascade Yarn Cascade Heritage Sock Yarn - Snow #5618:

I think Heritage is a great sock yarn--see my review of the Anis color. However, I found the undyed Snow color to be thinner than the dyed colors. The difference wasn't significant with lighter colors like the Anis (it was noticeable, but didn't change my gauge enough to prevent me from knitting a pair of striped socks with the yarns). In comparing the Snow to the Christmas Red in my stash, though, there was a significant difference. It might be a good idea to choose only dyed colors if planning colorwork with this yarn.

I purchased this yarn to make a wedding shawl and it's making up very nicely into a Lily of the Vally pattern. Of course, I LOVE Alpaca Direct - I always come to these folks first and 9 times out of 10 I purchase here! Thanks!

The yarn was beautiful, just didn't work out for the project I bought it for. I needed something a little more fuzzy, and this yarn is smooth.
