I loved using this yarn for the band of a beret I made for my daughter. When she opened the present at Christmas she thought I had bought it at a store until she realized it was better than that. Before she put it on her head I turned to my daughter-in-law and asked what color hat she wanted me to make for her. The elasticity helps any other yarn you might also use have more give and keep its shape.
