Comments about Cascade Yarn Cascade 220 Yarn #8892 Azure:

I like the feel of Cascade it has a wonderful texyture and workability-it doesn't split-BUT-it stretches terribly when washed. I was able to rescue the project with some creative felting in a low heat dryer. I plan to do another project with Cascade in the near future- the color and feel is beautiful, but I am anxious about the stretching issues. I will keep you posted about further developments. (PS, just for the record, I use a high end washing machine with a hand wash cycle, which does a beautiful job with my other handknits. I get less stretching with this than with hand washing- actually, I get no stretching with the machine. That's why I was so disappointed. The next project, I will wash in a bag to see if that eliminates the problem.)
