I generally use regular Cascade 220 to make hats and helmetliners for the troops, and I noticed that Superwash is a little thinner. Using a smaller needle gave me the correct gauge though.

Comments about Cascade Yarn Cascade 220 Superwash #815 Coal:

I bought this yarn to make socks for Christmas presents. I wanted thicker socks than this yarn would produce with the needle suggested, wound up using a US2 and they are turning out ok but I still wanted thicker but I already bought this yarn so this is what they will get. It has a nice feel when working, beautiful shine and it feels like its gonna be very durable. Would definatly recomend this yarn for any project you would need a light/medium weight wool yarn that you can machine wash and dry. Great color choices too!! I definatly see a sweater made from this stuff in my future.

Comments about Cascade Yarn Cascade 220 Superwash #815 Coal:

I make hats, scarves and neck gaiters and donate them to a charity. This yarn is easy to work with and is very soft. The items I have made look great and have good body (not flimsy). They wash and dry well and retain their shape. I will definitely buy this yarn again.

Comments about Cascade Yarn Cascade 220 Superwash #815 Coal:

It is very soft and elastic. I envision a soft afghan for my couch or recliner. I'm not a sweater maker. I could also use this for a shawl or poncho.
