different dyelots are very consistent with each other. Have made only children's sweaters and the fact that yarn is washable and dryable is a great benefit, so parents don't have to be too concerned about getting the sweater dirty. AI have used other washable yarns and I think this is probably the best. Also, it comes in a great array of colors.
