WOW!!!!! I was gifted a pair of these socks from Kelley and little does she know she gave me the greatest gift for my feet ever! She said I would love these socks and she was right! Boarding, working, hiking, jogging these socks are the best. Even better is that they never stink, are always cushy, and keep your feet in thier own little perfect world! I love these socks and will by more.

"Light" for hiking means medium weight for all-around use. I wear them for mountain biking, light hiking, tree climbing, teaching, and even dressing up (in black). With these socks, even dress shoes are comfortable. The socks are snug without constricting, loose without bunching, stay close to the foot, and are comfortable at temperatures from 40 - 80 Fahrenheit. With my heated insoles, I wear them to 20. But otherwise they're not for cold weather or hot weather use. They never pill and they last.

I will be using these socks for day hikes. I like the lightweight socks for my lighter hiking shoes. I haven't used these socks before but I have used the backpacking socks so I believe these socks have the same quality and great design features as the other socks.
