I survived my trip on the Inca Trail in Dahlgreen Alpaca socks and never gave my feet a thought! I ordered new socks for my hike to the Canadian Rockies and again, even though hiking temperatures varied from 30 - 75 degrees my socks just hugged my feet in total comfort!

The backpacking socks are intended for backpacking. I am very happy with these socks; they support my feet in just the right places while carrying weight on my back. I have been wearing these socks for several years now for backpacks in April and September. They have held up very well and I will be ordering more since I found out where I can get them direct from Alpaca Direct.

I bought these for long distance hiking. They will fit the bill nicely and I will be taking them with me. I bought many types and compared them head-to-head but so far these win out. Not a winter nor a summer specific hiking sock like most, but a solid middle of the road performer with staying power which is what you need when you are limited on what you can carry.
