Lots of great patterns, a little bit of history, and beautiful pictures all come together to create a well-rounded book. The patterns seem simple enough to follow, even when I'm not knitting along, and I'm just a beginner, with only a single pair of socks under my belt. I'm taking a 3-week trip to Ireland this summer, and I fully expect to take this book with me in my carry-on bag, along with my needles and a whole lotta yarn!
